    INTRODUCTION

    Environmental Science is a study of environment (surrounding) in chemical, biological and physical context. It is also a higher study of pollution, energy conservation, climatic changes, plastic menace, biodiversity and global warming. Environmental Science is a combination of both social science and natural science. A person who specializes in this subject is known as environmentalist. The environment engineering and science has been developed into an interesting and highly attractive career option.

    OBJECTIVES

    After successfully completing this specialization, graduates will be able to:

    •     Design, organise and conduct scientific environmental research, and contribute to the development of innovative technologies for solving environmental problems;
    •     Analyse dynamic interactions in complex human environment systems;
    •     Formulate data requirements and data collection strategies and design, and apply conceptual and computational models for a better understanding of these systems;
    •     Provide scientific advice for policy development and decision making.
