Desktop publishing programs teach students how to design and layout documentation in a variety of mediums. Students also learn about the production phases of publication.
Desktop publishing combines the skills of graphic design, layout and production of a variety of published products, using a variety of software tools. This course will focus on using desktop publishing software to effectively communicate messages in printed form. The goal of this course is to use the combination of type, color, illustrations and images to produce professional printed materials. This course will teach a combination of graphic design skills and software skills. Each class will consist of equal parts lecture and hands-on software experience. The software being taught is Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and Adobe pagemaker 7.0.
1.students will be able to understand the fundamentals of Multimedia and will be able to work using MS WORD which is useful for Desktop Publishing.
2.Student will be able to experience & implement the Desk Top Publishing.
3.Students will understand the importance of preplanning a document including creating a thumbnail sketch.
Eligibility Criteria10+2 in any stream .
